Biographical summary
Dr. Timpone is a diagnostic neuroradiologist with clinical expertise in the imaging of stroke and other neurovascular diseases, as well as image-guided spine interventions focused on the diagnosis and treatment of CSF leak. His research interests include utilizing national databases to study emergency department resource utilization in the evaluation of neurological diseases with focus on appropriateness and
cost-effective imaging practices. In his previous faculty position at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus he served as the director of stroke and neurovascular imaging, and co-director of the neuroradiology spine procedure service. On the national level he serves as a neuroradiology expert panel member for the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria Committee. In his free time Dr. Timpone enjoys mountain biking and skiing with his wife and 2 daughters.
