Biographical summary
Palak Shah, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., F.A.A.F.P., joined Mayo Clinic Primary Care-Phoenix in October 2024. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and passionate about patient advocacy. Before joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Shah served as Medical Director of Clinical Performance at Oak Street Health, where he also completed a non-clinical fellowship in value-based care, while attaining his MBA from Northwestern University in healthcare management.
Dr. Shah received his MPH with a concentration in epidemiology and his MD from St. George's University where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for exemplary humanistic patient care. He completed his residency at Humboldt Park Health in Chicago.
Dr. Shah has a passion for teaching, serving as assistant clinical professor at the University of Arizona where he leads a seminar on humanities in medicine and was former adjunct faculty at the Kellogg School of Management. Outside of medicine, Dr. Shah enjoys reading literature, traveling with his wife and son, and training for his next half-marathon/marathon.
