Dr. Stephen "Andy" Sems is a distinguished orthopedic trauma surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he has been practicing since 2005. He leads the Limb Lengthening and Regeneration Clinic, specializing in complex orthopedic trauma, nonunions, limb deformity correction, and limb lengthening procedures. Dr. Sems employs advanced surgical techniques, including the use of implanted magnetic lengthening metal rods and external fixators, to restore function and alignment in patients with severe limb injuries, malunions or congenital deformities.
