Biographical summary
Ricardo D. Parrondo, M.D., is a hematologist-oncologist, with a specialty interest in plasma cell dyscrasias and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. His clinical and research focus includes:
- Expertise in management of plasma cell dyscrasias such as multiple myeloma, MGUS, monoclonal gammopathies of clinical significance, Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, AL amyloidosis, and POEMS syndrome
- Autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation for plasma cell dyscrasias
- Expertise in management of relapsed/refractory plasma cell dyscrasias
- Development of early and late-phase clinical trials for plasma cell dyscrasias
- Expertise in management of newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia
- Expertise in use of novel immunotherapeutic strategies for plasma cell dyscrasias and chronic lymphocytic leukemia such as CAR-T cell therapies and bispecific antibodies.
