Biographical summary
Dr. Mendoza is a geriatrician who practices across the continuum of care, in the outpatient clinic, skilled nursing facilities and homebound care settings.
She is the Senior Services physician lead for the Performance Improvement and Metrics Oversight Group and has a strong interest to improve patient care and implement innovative best practices during transitions of care to advance high-value patient care.
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Mendoza is active in research and holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She is involved in education working with the internal medicine residents and geriatric medicine fellows. She is the Mayo Clinic Alix Medical School of Medicine Senior Sages Program Co-Director. She is a member of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Recruitment Committee and the director of the Clinical Competency Committee for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship.
