Biographical summary
Rozalina McCoy, M.D., MS, is Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she is a practicing primary care physician, endocrinologist, and medical director of the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Community Paramedic Program. Dr. McCoy is also a health services researcher whose work leverages real-world data to improve the quality, accessibility, and equity of diabetes care. She is particularly interested in understanding factors that lead to poor glycemic control and heighten the risks of acute and chronic diabetes complications, and has worked both within and outside of Mayo Clinic to develop patient-centered care delivery models to improve diabetes care and health outcomes. More broadly, Dr. McCoy is passionate about developing care delivery models that support patient-centered care and has led multiple efforts within primary care and Mayo Clinic Ambulance to develop, implement, and evaluate enhanced care team and community paramedic models of care.
