Biographical summary
Dr. Edwards was born in Bologna, Italy and grew up in Western Pennsylvania. He was as an academic hospitalist at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for nine years before moving to Jacksonville and joining Mayo's hospital medicine group. During his time at UNC, he was actively involved in student and resident education and also served as medical director of UNC's Hillsborough campus for 4 years. Dr. Edwards is a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
