Gian Marco Conte, M.D., Ph.D., is an AI Scientist, Associate Consultant, and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
In his current role as an AI Scientist in the Department of Radiology, Dr. Conte focuses on integrating AI into clinical practice, bridging the gap between research and healthcare applications.
Dr. Conte is part of the editorial boards of "Radiology: Artificial Intelligence", and the "Journal of Imaging Informatics in Medicine", serving as Associate Editor for both journals.
Dr. Conte earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy, where his early research centered on the application of perfusion MRI in neuroimaging.
Following his Ph.D., Dr. Conte pursued postdoctoral research at Mayo Clinic, focused on integrating machine learning techniques with medical imaging- particularly in the areas of neuroimaging and neuro-oncology.
