Dr. Allen-Rhoades is a pediatric oncologist with interest and expertise in:
- Sarcomas
- Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology
- Building infrastructure to support their unique needs as they traverse the path to cancer survivorship
- Advocacy and health policy as it relates to child, adolescent, and young adult cancer, access to health care, and improving health care delivery.
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Allen-Rhoades is active in clinical research and serves on the Children's Oncology Group Soft Tissue Sarcoma and Bone Sarcoma Committees. She is the study chair for the cooperative group clinical trial, ARST:2031 A Randomized Phase 3 Trial of Vinorelbine, dactinomycin, and Cyclophosphamide (VRL-AC VINO-AC) Plus Maintenance Chemotherapy with Vinorelbine and Oral Cyclophosphamide (VRL-C VINO-CPO) vs Vincristine, dactinomycin and Cyclophosphamide (VAC) plus VRL-C VINO-CPO Maintenance in Patients with High Risk Rhabdomyosarcoma (HR-RMS).
