My name is Dr. Fred Meyer. I'm Chair of Neurosurgery and my specialty in focus is primarily what I would call cranial surgery. It's essential to have a holistic approach to taking care of a patient and their family. I'm a big believer in social work, religious counseling, anything to offer solace and support for a patient family is essential.

The way patients and their families face really life threatening diseases is awe inspiring. It's hard for me to imagine having that type of courage that my patients have. I always tell patients never to give up hope. There's always a possibility. Even with the most malignant tumor, I have seen patients beat that type of tumor or survived for many, many years. You never give up hope.
