Rochester construction updates East entrance of Mayo and Gonda Buildings closed Starting Saturday, April 12, the east entrances of the Mayo and Gonda Buildings will close for remodeling. These entrances will remain closed until the project is completed in the summer of 2026. 2nd Ave SW will remain open for guests of the Kahler Grand Hotel and the businesses within. Pedestrians can access the Mayo and Gonda Buildings above ground by following the posted street-level pedestrian detour signs. For ease of access and safety, we recommend that patients and visitors use pedestrian subway tunnels when possible. If you need assistance navigating the pedestrian subway tunnels, feel free to ask one of our volunteers. Volunteers are stationed throughout Mayo Clinic and can be easily recognized by their navy-blue volunteer shirts.
