Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Confusion
  2. dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
  3. fast or irregular heartbeat
  4. nervousness
  5. numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, or lips
  6. swelling of the ankles, feet, or lower legs
  7. weakness or heaviness of the legs

Rare

  1. Bleeding gums
  2. chills
  3. fever
  4. nausea or vomiting
  5. nosebleeds
  6. pale skin
  7. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips, tongue, or inside the mouth
  8. stomach pain or bloating with fever, nausea, or vomiting
  9. swelling of the face, mouth, hands, or feet
  10. trouble with swallowing or breathing (sudden) or hoarseness
  11. unusual bleeding or bruising
  12. unusual tiredness or weakness
  13. yellow eyes or skin

Incidence not known

  1. Chest pain
  2. heartburn
  3. pain or burning in the throat

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Cough (dry and continuous)
  2. feeling of warmth
  3. redness of the face, neck, arms, and occasionally upper chest
  4. sleepiness

Incidence not known

  1. Belching
  2. blistering, crusting, irritation, itching, or reddening of the skin
  3. body aches or pain
  4. cracked, dry, or scaly skin
  5. decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  6. difficulty having a bowel movement
  7. frequent urination
  8. inability to have or keep an erection
  9. increased volume of pale, dilute urine
  10. indigestion
  11. lack or loss of strength
  12. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  13. muscle or bone pain
  14. shakiness in the legs, arms, hands, or feet
  15. stomach discomfort or upset
  16. sudden sweating
  17. swelling
  18. tender, swollen glands in the neck
  19. trembling or shaking of the hands or feet
  20. trouble with sleeping
  21. voice changes

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
