In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Franks has published multiple articles on the topics of sinus disease, skull base pathology, and the effects of pollution on sinus disease. He has presented at several national meetings.

Dr. Franks earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine.
