Ji Hyun Ahn, D.D.S.

Ji Hyun Ahn, D.D.S., M.S.D., is a board-certified orthodontist with expertise in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She currently holds the position of Senior Associate Consultant at Mayo Clinic Dental Specialties in the Orthodontic department.

Dr. Ahn pursued her dental education at Kyungpook National University in South Korea and received training in orthodontics in 1995 and 1998 respectively. She successfully completed orthodontic residency at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2013, obtaining her second MSD in orthodontics. Since 2014, she has been dedicated to full-time academia, which includes previous didactic and clinical teaching roles at Roseman University and University of Southern California. Additionally, she contributes as a Board clinical examiner and journal reviewer.

Dr. Ahn's clinical practice focuses on the treatment of patients with malocclusion and craniofacial abnormalities. She possesses expertise in various orthodontic techniques, including fixed appliance treatment, clear aligner therapy, Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs), and multidisciplinary treatment approaches. Her research interests encompass Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs).
