Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Blistering, peeling, or loosening of the skin
  2. breakdown of skin
  3. burning of skin
  4. cracking of skin
  5. flushing, redness of skin
  6. hardening or thickening of skin
  7. irritation of skin
  8. itching skin
  9. pain or discomfort in skin
  10. swelling of skin
  11. unusually warm skin

Less common

  1. Bleeding of skin
  2. blood in urine
  3. break in the skin, especially associated with blue-black discoloration, swelling, or drainage of fluid
  4. burning or itching around anus
  5. changes in skin coloring
  6. discharge from skin
  7. dryness of skin
  8. increased frequency of urination
  9. increased sensitivity to pain
  10. increased sensitivity to touch
  11. pain or burning during urination
  12. peeling of one area of skin
  13. pelvic pain
  14. problems with foreskin of penis
  15. rash with flat lesions or small raised lesions on the skin
  16. scarring of skin
  17. skin rash, encrusted, scaly and oozing
  18. skin rash on the face
  19. swollen, painful, or tender lymph glands in neck, armpit, or groin
  20. tingling in the hands and feet
