Biographical summary
Leah Schecter, M.D., is a board-certified Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine physician.
Dr. Schecter obtained her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in Baltimore, Maryland, and went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program, in New Haven, CT. She then completed the Yale Geriatric Medicine clinical fellowship before joining as a Senior Associate Consultant in Community Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.
Dr. Schecter's clinical practice focuses on providing compassionate and comprehensive primary care to adults in the outpatient setting. She treats patients aged 18 and older, with a particular interest in patients aged 65 and older. By addressing both prevention and chronic disease management, Dr. Schecter hopes to help patients reach their health goals throughout the stages of their lives.
