Rebecca Bowie, M.D., is a board-certified Family Medicine physician at Beaches Primary Care Clinic. Dr. Bowie cares for patients of all ages for both acute concerns and chronic medical illnesses. She also performs a variety of procedures including skin biopsies, joint injections, and intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals.
Dr. Bowie earned a Bachelor of Journalism Degree at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Prior to medical school, she worked in human resources and leadership development. She then attended medical school at St. George's University in Grenada.
Dr. Bowie completed family medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL serving as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Bowie's medical interests include lifestyle medicine, obesity medicine,
hospital medicine, and leadership in medicine.
Alongside her professional journey, she played soccer competitively and remains active. She enjoys going to the gym, running, playing beach volleyball and pickleball, while also nurturing her passion for travel.
