Biographical summary
Hussam Al Kateb, MSc., Ph.D., is a Clinical Genomicist certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics. Dr. Al Kateb held academic positions in multiple institutions prior to joining Mayo Clinic. Dr. Al Kateb’s clinical focus includes test development and clinical implementation of multi-omics testing modalities including paired tumor-normal whole exome/whole transcriptome and whole genome analyses for the identification of therapeutic, diagnostic, and prognostic variants in solid tumors using NGS and other molecular techniques. His research interests include genotype-phenotype and genotype-outcome correlation in multiple cancer types, gene discovery, and the technical aspects of NGS and other molecular technologies.
