Mayo researchers have made important discoveries in the genetics of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, including the identification of seven new hypertrophic cardiomyopathy-susceptibility genes. Specific efforts involve the study of the genetic causes of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and new diagnostic tests and treatments for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
