Research

Researchers at Mayo Clinic are working to:

  • Develop and improve diagnosis and treatment tools for anxiety disorders in children, including comparing different versions of cognitive behavioral therapy for childhood anxiety disorders
  • Improve the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders for adults and children in the primary care setting
  • Determine the feasibility and effectiveness of time-limited behavioral interventions for anxiety disorders
  • Examine the use of technology in providing treatment for anxiety disorders, including development of an electronic assessment system for evaluating pediatric psychiatric symptoms and the Mayo Clinic Anxiety Coach, an iPhone application for anxiety management in children
