Clinical trials Below are current clinical trials.535 studies in Oncology (Medical) (open studies only). Filter this list of studies by location, status and more. A Study of Intravital Microscopy (IVM) in Human Solid Tumors Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of performing HIVM in patients with deep space solid tumors during standard course of surgical resection. PRevention of Acute Kidney Injury Initiated with Electronic Surveillance Enhancement Rochester, Minn. This is to define and validate an electronic surveillance tool to be able to detect acute kidney injury (AKI) automatically and alarm the clinicians when patients make the acute kidney injury criteria (defined by acute kidney injury network). Our hypothesis is that this tool (AKI sniffer) is able to detect AKI before the clinicians and also earlier intervention (applying AKI prevention bunmdle) triggered by sniffer can improve patient outcome. Dose Escalation Study of mRNA-2752 for Intratumoral Injection to Participants in Advanced Malignancies Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of escalating intratumoral doses of mRNA-2752 in participants with relapsed/refractory solid tumor malignancies or lymphoma. A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics and Anti-tumor Activity of WSD0922-FU Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla., Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) of WSD0922-FU in subjects with recurrent glioblastoma, IDH wildtype (GBM), anaplastic astrocytoma, IDH wildtype (AA) and CNS metastases of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A Study of Biomarkers to Predict Cancer Therapy-related Cardiotoxicity Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The primary purpose of this study is to collect Biospecimens from patients who developed chemotherapy related cardiac toxicity (CRCT) and patients who are at a high risk for developing CRCT identified prior to the onset of therapy. Randomized Phase II/III Trial of Adjuvant Radiation Therapy with Cisplatin, Docetaxel-Cetuximab, or Cisplatin-Atezolizumab in Pathologic High-Risk Squamous Cell Cancer of the Head and Neck Rochester, Minn. This randomized phase II/III trial studies how well radiation therapy works when given together with cisplatin compared to docetaxel or cetuximab and docetaxel after surgery in treating patients with stage III-IV squamous cell head and neck cancer. Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and docetaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or transmit tumor killing molecules to them. It is not yet known whether radiation therapy is more effective when given with cisplatin, docetaxel, or cetuximab and docetaxel. A Study to Assess Feasibility and Benefit of a Patient-reported Outcomes Quality of Life Tool for Hematology and Medical Oncology Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility and benefit of a patient-reported outcomes quality of life tool for hematology and medical oncology. A Study to Evaluate Azacitidine Plus Venetoclax Induction Chemotherapy To Treat Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients for T-cell Directed Immunotherapy Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to evaluate immune profile of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients receiving Venetoclax plus Azacitidine induction chemotherapy. A Study to Evaluate Daratumumab/rHuPh20 +/- Lenalidomide as Post-ASCT Maintenance for Multiple Myeloma with Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) to Direct Therapy Duration Rochester, Minn., Eau Claire, Wis., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The primary purpose of this study is to compare overall survival between two treatment arms, with lenalidomide as the comparator arm and lenalidomide + daratumumab/rHuPH20 as the experimental arm, in post-autologous transplant multiple myeloma (MM) patients. SC Versus IV Isatuximab in Combination With Pomalidomide and Dexamethasone in RRMM Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy non-inferiority between isatuximab SC and isatuximab IV in combination with pomalidomide and dexamethasone (Pd), and to demonstrate the pharmacokinetic (PK) non-inferiority between isatuximab SC and isatuximab IV in combination with Pd. The patient comes first. So the mission and research here is to advance how we can best help the patient, how to make sure the patient comes first in care. So in many ways, it's a cycle. It can start with as simple as an idea worked on in a laboratory, brought to the patient bedside, and if everything goes right — and let's say it's helpful or beneficial — then brought on as a standard approach. And I think that is one of the unique characteristics of Mayo's approach to research — that patient-centeredness — that really helps to put it in its own spotlight.
