The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and effect of 1 or 2 mg baxdrostat versus placebo, administered once daily (QD) orally, on the reduction of systolic blood pressure in approximately 720 participants aged ≥ 18 years with hypertension, despite a stable regimen of 2 antihypertensive agents at baseline, one of which is a diuretic (uncontrolled hypertension); or ≥ 3 antihypertensive agents at baseline, one of which is a diuretic (treatment-resistant hypertension). The purpose of this study is to investigate how efficiently the study medication imlifidase reduces the amount of donor specific antibodies (DSA) in comparison with plasma exchange (PE) therapy, in patients who have an active antibody mediated rejection (AMR) after recently been kidney transplanted. It can start with as simple as an idea worked on in a laboratory, brought to the patient bedside, and if everything goes right — and let's say it's helpful or beneficial — then brought on as a standard approach.
