Coronary Artery Disease Clinic Overview Print Videos Watch Mayo Clinic cardiologists and others discuss many conditions and treatments related to cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular surgery. The experts of the Coronary Artery Disease Clinic diagnose your condition, offer rapid access to cardiac catheterization and consult with specialists as needed to provide comprehensive care. You also may have the option of continued care with an interventional cardiologist or other cardiologist. At the Coronary Artery Disease Clinic, doctors trained in heart disease (cardiologists) have deep experience in diagnosing and treating complex forms of coronary artery disease, chest pain (intractable angina), carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease and heart valve disease. Your team may include experts in surgical, interventional and noninvasive cardiology. The team takes a patient-centered approach to develop a treatment plan tailored to your condition, goals and needs. Your condition may be treated with a catheter-based procedure. In the Coronary Artery Disease Clinic, after you consult with doctors, you may be treated in Mayo's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory soon after. You might be able to have treatment in the cath lab the same day. Procedures also are performed on Saturdays. If cardiac catheterization isn't an option for you, you may be referred to a cardiovascular surgeon or other specialist. After treatment you might continue your care with a Mayo Clinic cardiologist, or you may choose to return to your primary care provider. AppointmentsYou may be referred by your primary doctor, or you may make an appointment without a referral. Not all services may be available at all locations.
