The Colon Cancer Family Registry at Mayo Clinic is part of an international research consortium dedicated to furthering knowledge of the environmental and genetic predisposing factors in colorectal cancer.

The Mayo Clinic Biobank collects samples, including blood and blood derivatives, donated by Mayo Clinic patients, as well as health information on these volunteers. Many studies that use the Mayo Clinic Biobank are aimed at better understanding how a person's genes (DNA) may influence overall health and wellness.
