Copyright terms for Mayo Clinic authors

    Journal acknowledges that pursuant to Mayo Clinic policy, Mayo Clinic does not assign the copyright to any Mayo Clinic copyrighted drawings, illustrations or questionnaires, or survey instruments contained in any manuscript submitted by Mayo Clinic authors. Mayo Clinic grants publisher a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish such materials as part of the submitted manuscripts in all media. Other than this nonexclusive license, Mayo Clinic reserves all rights to such materials. Journal also acknowledges that Mayo Clinic and the author retain the right to provide a copy of the final manuscript to the National Institutes of Health, upon acceptance for journal publication, for public archiving in PubMed Central as soon as possible but no later than 12 months after publication by journal.
