Biographical summary
Lizhi Zhang, M.D., is a board-certified pathologist. He is also a Professor of Pathology at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
Dr. Zhang attended medical school at Dalian Medical University in China. He obtained training in anatomic and clinical pathology and subspecialty training in GI/ liver/ pancreas pathology at Mayo Clinic.
The research interests of Lizhi Zhang, M.D., focus on pancreatic cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, autoimmune pancreatitis and other pancreatic diseases. Dr. Zhang has expertise using clinical, molecular and genomic tools to conduct translational studies to understand pancreatic pathology.
