Biographical summary
Nathan Young, D.O., is a general community neurologist at Mayo Clinic Rochester Community Practice. His main clinical practice is within the Integrated Community Specialist (ICS) clinic located in the Baldwin
building. Dr. Young is passionate about providing high-quality general adult neurological care to patients with a wide range of neurological disorders and making a positive impact in the community. The most common conditions he treats include migraine, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and peripheral nerve and muscle disorders. His practice is primarily limited to patients who have a Mayo Clinic primary care provider.
Dr. Young is deeply committed to collaboration, working closely with primary care providers and subspecialists to enhance patient outcomes. He believes in the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to
healthcare, which fosters better communication and coordination among healthcare professionals. Dr. Young is also dedicated to providing an excellent patient experience through compassionate patient-centered care using shared decision-making and developing a partnership and trust with each patient.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Young is the Chair of the Community Division of Neurology. He is actively involved in research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving access, cost, and quality of neurological care. Dr. Young is also dedicated to the education and training of residents, fellows, students, and primary care providers.
