Douglas L. Wood, M.D., is the medical director for the Center for Innovation, a consultant in cardiovascular diseases and a professor of medicine. In the Center for Innovation, he leads a multidisciplinary team working to transform the experience of health for people. The Center includes activity at all Mayo Clinic sites and the Healthy Living Laboratory, a partnership between Delos Living and Mayo Clinic.

His clinical expertise includes diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases, including arrhythmias, coronary artery disease and people with complex problems in need of diagnosis. Outside Mayo, Dr. Wood is currently president-elect of the Minnesota Medical Association. He has received numerous awards for his service, including recognition from the American Medical Association, Minnesota Medical Association, America College of Cardiology, University of Missouri School of Medicine and Carleton College.
