Dr. Michael Underhill joined Mayo Clinic Primary Care-Arrowhead in June 2020. He completed his medical degree at Des Moines University and both internship and residency training in Family Medicine at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Arizona where he served as Chief resident. Dr. Underhill served as a physician in the United States Army, was a co-owner of a large primary care practice in Glendale serving as a Department Chair before transitioning back to Mayo Clinic to focus on education, research, and patient care.
He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine and is Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic Arizona, Department of Family Medicine.
