Gita Thanarajasingam, M.D., is an associate professor of medicine and the chair of faculty development and recruitment in the Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic Rochester. She received her medical degree from Mayo Medical School and completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard University. She then returned to Mayo Clinic for her fellowship in hematology/oncology and advanced hematology, with a focus on lymphoma. She is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, and has a certification from the Mayo Clinic Quality Academy.

Dr. Thanarajasingam has received several honors and awards, including the Best Alliance Manuscript of 2016 by a Junior Faculty Member, the Mayo Clinic Patient Experience Program Provider Recognition Award, and the Lymphoma Research Foundation "All Star". Her research interests and accomplishments include adverse event assessment, symptom control, clinical trials, and health outcomes in hematological malignancies, especially lymphoma.
