Biographical summary
Wendy M. Smith, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in ocular inflammation and immunology and medical retina. She specializes in the care of adult and pediatric patients with uveitis and scleritis. Some of the common conditions that Dr. Smith evaluates and treats are:
- HLA-B27 associated anterior uveitis
- Intermediate uveitis, including pars planitis
- Posterior and panuveitis such as punctate inner choroiditis (PIC), Birdshot chorioretinopathy, multifocal choroiditis
- Uveitis related to systemic disease such as sarcoidosis or Behcets Disease
- Immunotherapy-related uveitis
- Infectious uveitis
- Scleritis
