Biographical summary
Brittany L. Siontis, M.D., is a medical oncologist with specialty interest in soft tissue and bone sarcomas. Her clinical focus includes multidisciplinary care for bone and soft tissue sarcoma, including:
- Leiomyosarcoma and other soft tissue sarcoma
- Uterine sarcomas
- Gastro-intestinal stromal tumor
- Ewing sarcoma and osteosarcoma
- Radiation therapy-related sarcoma
- Desmoid tumor
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Siontis is active in research and education. Her research efforts focus on the evaluation of novel therapeutics in bone and soft tissue sarcomas through clinical trials. Dr. Siontis currently serves as the Principal Investigator of several active clinical trials at Mayo Clinic through the Sarcoma Medical Oncology Group. In addition to clinical trials, Dr. Siontis has received funding to evaluate the role of blood and urine-based biomarkers in sarcomas. She has several peer-reviewed publications of her original work and has served as an ad-hoc reviewer of sarcoma-related research for peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Siontis has been an invited speaker in national patient-focused / sarcoma awareness meetings.
