Biographical summary
Ramona Sharma, M.D., joined Mayo Clinic Primary Care-San Tan in June 2021. She is board-certified in Family Medicine. Before joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Sharma served as a Clinical Research Associate at Honor Health Research Institute.
She completed a Family Medicine Residency at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she also served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Sharma has a passion for teaching residents and medical students and was the recipient of the 2020 Golden Stethoscope award at Memorial Medical Center for Outstanding Resident Teacher. Dr. Sharma has presented at regional and national conferences, including for the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine in Toronto, Canada.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Sharma is passionate about primary care and preventive medicine. She looks forward to providing care to all members of families.
Originally from Arizona, Dr. Sharma is happy to be back in her home state to serve her community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and traveling.
