She developed the "Adaptive Athlete Multidisciplinary Clinic" designed to provide comprehensive services to the local and regional community with physical disability, to promote and support health, wellness, and athletic interests. She was integral in the development of the "Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic," a cooperative clinic with the Pediatric PM&R and the Brain Injury Clinic to better support patient recovery. Dr. Rabatin's main research interests focus on function, development, and wellness of pediatric patients. The patient populations of interest are broad including patients with disability, typical development, traumatic brain injury and sports needs (general and adaptive). All these populations have need for physical activity to promote function, development and wellness. The long-term goal of her research is to determine evidence-based interventions with multidisciplinary teams including for example Pediatrics, Pediatric Orthopedics, PM&R and Anesthesia, to promote and support function, development and wellness of pediatric patients.
