Biographical summary
Sari Padang, MBBS PhD, is a noninvasive cardiologist with special interest in valvular heart diseases, including native or prosthetic valve disease, and acquired or heritable heart valve conditions.
Her clinical and research focus areas include:
- Evaluation and management of patients with valvular heart disease, particularly those with familial valve disease such as bicuspid aortic valve disease or mitral valve prolapse
- Use of stress echocardiography to risk stratify patients with valvular heart disease in order to identify individuals who are at the highest risk of complications and to guide optimal timing for surgery/intervention
- Peri-procedural echocardiographic evaluation and guidance of various percutaneous intervention for valvular and other structural heart disease
Through her research and clinical work, Dr. Padang aims to improve the assessment, care and overall outcome of patients and families with valvular heart disease.
