Biographical summary
Kyle M. McKenzie, M.D., is a geriatrician and internal medicine practitioner in the Senior Services program. His primary practice site is in skilled nursing facilities. His clinical focus includes:
- Evaluation and management of dementia and related disorders.
- Practice also includes caring for multiple complex medical conditions, which include: diabetes, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease as well as others.
- Discussions in advanced care planning and providing care at the end of life.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. McKenzie is involved in education with the internal medicine residents, family medicine residents and geriatric medicine fellows. He is the director of the Geriatric Medicine rotation for the Family Medicine residency. He is a certified medical director (C.M.D.) and serves as medical director to four local skilled nursing facilities.
