Biographical summary
Marc Matthews, M.D., FAAFP, DABOM, is a family medicine physician who focuses on providing continuing and comprehensive care for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases, and parts of the body. His clinical focus includes:
- Person-affirming care for transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals
- Complex coordination of care and diagnosis of unresolved illness
- Management of chronic diseases, such as obesity, hypertension, asthma and diabetes mellitus
- Promoting each patient's understanding of disease and empowering patients to become partners in managing their health
- Discerning each patient's unique expectations of living with chronic disease and collaborating with patients to resolve issues and achieve balance
