Allan Klompas, M.B., B.Ch., BAO, is a cardiac anesthesiologist, with subspecialty interest in transfusion medicine. His clinical focus includes:

  • Managing complex transfusion needs in the perioperative setting, particularly in patients with unusual or rare blood types
  • Promoting effective patient blood management in the preoperative and postoperative settings
  • 'Bloodless' surgery in those unable to receive blood transfusions

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Klompas is active in research and education, providing mentorship to residents and fellows.
