Biographical summary
Matthew T. Houdek, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and the Fellowship Director for Musculoskeletal Oncology at the Mayo Clinic. He received his MD from the University of Arizona. He went on to be trained in Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic, and then did his fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Oncology at the University Musculoskeletal Oncology Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital and University of Toronto.
Dr. Houdek is an orthopedic oncologist treating both children and adults with bone and soft-tissue sarcomas of the pelvis and extremities. Dr. Houdeks' clinical and research interest include outcomes of complex reconstruction and limb salvage, with a focus on upper extremity sarcomas.
