Biographical summary
Shariska P. Harrington, M.D., is a fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncologist, specializing in the surgical care of women with gynecologic cancers and women at increased risk of gynecologic cancer. She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. Her clinical expertise includes surgical treatment of:
- Gynecologic cancer
- Complex adnexal masses
- Lower genital tract dysplasia
- Large uterine masses/fibroids
- Cancer risk reduction in BRCA carriers, Lynch syndrome
- Abnormal uterine bleeding — minimally invasive hysterectomy
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Harrington looks forward to increased engagement in research and education since joining Mayo Clinic in 2024. Her research interests include health equity, early detection of endometrial cancer, mixed methods research and novel therapeutics.
