Biographical summary
Samuel Han, M.D., M.S., is a board-certified therapeutic (advanced) endoscopist with an expertise and focus in pancreatology.
Dr. Han attended medical school at the University of Massachusetts, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. He obtained training in gastroenterology at the University of Colorado and stayed there for subspecialty training in therapeutic endoscopy.
Dr. Han's clinical practice focuses on the treatment of patients with pancreaticobiliary diseases, particularly patients with chronic pancreatitis. He has a specific interest in treating pancreatic duct stones and strictures via pancreatoscopy. His research focuses on improving patient-centered outcomes in patients with pancreatic diseases, smoking cessation in chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic endotherapy. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair for the Intraductal Endoscopy Special Interest Group within the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
