Raymond (Bamvi) Fohtung, M.D., is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in general cardiology, echocardiography, interventional echocardiography and heart valve disease. He is a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Division of Cardiac Imaging and Stress Testing at Mayo Clinic Arizona in Phoenix/Scottsdale.
Dr. Fohtung attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency training and was a chief medical resident also at Washington University in St. Louis. He subsequently trained in cardiovascular disease and advanced echocardiography at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Fohtung's clinical practice focuses on general cardiac issues, echocardiography, heart valve and structural heart diseases. He sees patients at the Phoenix and Scottsdale campuses at Mayo Clinic Arizona.
