Biographical summary
Robert M. Cuddihy, M.D., is a board-certified endocrinologist with a special focus on diabetes (both type 1 and type 2) and obesity, focused on a personalized medicine approach utilizing the latest technological and pharmaceutical advances in treating individuals with these conditions.
Dr. Cuddihy has been a clinician, educator and researcher studying and treating individuals with diabetes or obesity on the local, national, an international level. He was one of the early investigators in the GLP 1 therapeutic class of agents which today are mainstays of therapy for both diabetes and obesity. Dr Cuddihy was heavily engaged in the early research with continuous glucose monitors (CGM) and played a role in the development of the ambulatory glucose profile; now the standard of care in presenting CGM data.
Dr. Cuddihy trained 100's of physicians worldwide in diabetes management through his affiliation with a World Health Organization (WHO) center for Diabetes Education, Training and Technology. He has served on the board of the American Diabetes Association and has been an invited speaker at many national and international medical congresses. He enjoys working with patients as a collaborative team, facilitating a patient's choice of the optimal therapy for their unique situation, lifestyle, and goals.
