Elizabeth A. Boots, Ph.D., L.P.

Elizabeth A. Boots, Ph.D., L.P., is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in neuropsychological assessment of neurodegenerative disease. She is also an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Science.

Dr. Boots attended graduate school for clinical psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, completed her predoctoral internship with an emphasis in neuropsychology at the University of California San Diego/VA San Diego Healthcare System, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in adult clinical neuropsychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Her clinical practice focuses on diagnostic assessment of patients with mild cognitive impairment and dementia due to neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer's disease. She also provides compensatory cognitive training through Mayo Clinic's Healthy Action to Benefit Independence in Thinking (HABIT) program for patients with mild cognitive impairment and their care partners. Her research interests include understanding social determinants of health related to aging and neurodegenerative disease, digital cognitive assessment, and neuroimaging.
