头痛是指头任何部位出现的疼痛。头痛可发生在头部的一侧或两侧,可孤立于某个单独的位置发生,可从某一点辐射到整个头部,或感觉像有一个老虎钳环在头部。
头痛可能表现为锐痛、跳动性疼痛或钝痛。头痛可以逐渐发展,也可以突然发作,可能持续不到一小时到几天。
您的头痛症状可以帮助医生确定其原因,并给予适当的治疗。大多数头痛不是严重疾病的结果,但有些头痛可能因需要急救护理、危及生命的状况引起。
头痛一般按病因分类:
原发性头痛
原发性头痛起因于头部中疼痛敏感结构过度活跃或出现问题。原发性头痛不是基础疾病的症状。
脑、颅周神经或血管、或者头颈部肌肉(或这三者的某种组合)中的化学活动可能在原发性头痛中发挥作用。有些人也可能携带令自身更容易出现此类头痛的基因。
请寻求急救护理
头痛可能是严重医疗状况(比如卒中、脑膜炎或脑炎)的症状。
如果您正出现一生中最糟糕的头痛或骤发且重度的头痛或伴随有以下症状的头痛,请前往医院急诊室或拨打 911 或本地急救电话:
- 意识模糊或言语理解困难
- 昏厥
- 高热,高于 39 至 40 摄氏度(102 F 至 104 F)
- 身体一侧麻木、虚弱或麻痹
- 颈部僵硬
- 视物困难
- 说话困难
- 行走困难
- 恶心或呕吐(如果明确与流感或宿醉无关)

- 比平常更频繁发生
- 比平常更重
