在婴儿期,医生会在显示身长体重的图表上绘制宝宝的生长情况。稍后,宝宝的医生可能会计算宝宝的 BMI。您可以使用这些图表来跟踪宝宝的生长趋势,并将宝宝的生长与其他相同性别和年龄的婴儿的生长进行比较。根据世界卫生组织生长图表,身长体重大于第 98 百分位的婴儿被认为拥有高身长体重。
请记住,宝宝在婴儿期需要高脂肪饮食来支持其生长。完全母乳喂养的婴儿每天从母乳中的脂肪中获得大约一半的卡路里。因此,不建议 2 岁及以下婴儿为减轻体重而限制卡路里摄入。
但过多脂肪和卡路里仍然是一个值得关注的问题。例如,体重过重可能会延迟婴儿爬行和走路的时间,而这些都是宝宝身体发育和智力发育的重要组成部分。虽然胖宝宝不一定会成为超重儿,但肥胖的儿童在成年后往往依然肥胖。
为让宝宝保持健康体重:
- 应在妊娠期间监测您的体重增长。妊娠期间体重增长过多,会导致婴儿出生体重增加。研究表明,出生体重的增加会增加儿童肥胖的风险。
- 母乳喂养。一些研究表明,母乳喂养可降低儿童肥胖的风险。
- 限制含糖饮料。果汁不是婴儿饮食的必要组成部分。当您开始引入固体食物时,请考虑具有丰富营养的全水果和蔬菜。
- 尝试各种抚慰宝宝的方式。不要自行转为母乳或配方奶来平息宝宝的哭声。有时,让宝宝平静下来,只需要换一个姿势、进入更安静的环境,或者一个温柔的触摸就足够了。
- 限制使用媒体。美国儿科学会不鼓励 2 岁以下儿童使用媒体。孩子看电视时间越多,超重的风险就越大。
