Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Agitation
  2. bloody urine
  3. bone pain
  4. chest pain, discomfort, or tightness
  5. coma
  6. confusion
  7. constipation
  8. cough
  9. dark urine
  10. decreased amount of urine
  11. depression
  12. diarrhea
  13. dizziness
  14. dry skin
  15. fainting
  16. fast heartbeat
  17. fever or chills
  18. headache
  19. hostility
  20. increased blood pressure
  21. increased thirst
  22. irregular or slow heart rate
  23. irritability
  24. lethargy
  25. lightheadedness
  26. loss of appetite
  27. lower back or side pain
  28. muscle twitching
  29. nausea
  30. rapid, shallow breathing
  31. seizures
  32. sneezing
  33. sore throat
  34. stomach pain, severe
  35. stupor
  36. swelling
  37. swelling of the face, fingers, or lower legs
  38. trouble breathing
  39. unusual tiredness or weakness
  40. vomiting
  41. weight gain
  42. yellow eyes or skin

Less common

  1. Anxiety
  2. blue lips, fingernails, or skin
  3. blurred vision
  4. coughing up blood
  5. decreased appetite
  6. decreased urination
  7. decreased weight
  8. dilated neck veins
  9. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  10. dry mouth
  11. muscle pain or cramps
  12. nightmares or unusually vivid dreams
  13. pale skin
  14. sunken eyes
  15. sweating
  16. unusual bleeding or bruising
  17. wrinkled skin

Rare

  1. Inability to speak
  2. slurred speech
  3. stiffness
  4. temporary blindness
  5. weakness in the arm or legs on one side of the body, sudden and severe

Incidence not known

  1. General feeling of discomfort or illness
  2. thickening of bronchial secretions
