Let pain guide you when it comes to figuring out how far you can bend or move. In other words, if it hurts, do not do it.
If you feel general discomfort, like muscle soreness or pain at the site where the surgeon cut through your skin (incision site), this is okay. But if you feel new or sharp pain, stop what you are doing.
Your risk of dislocating your hip goes up if you move it into an extreme position. Do not move into these positions.
