Mayo Clinic's approach
- Experience. It's important to choose health care providers with experience. This helps ensure that you get the results you expect. Mayo Clinic health care providers perform more than 5,000 Botox injections each year.
- Time for you. Your Mayo Clinic specialist will take time to discuss options and answer your questions about Botox injections.
- Efficient care. At Mayo Clinic your appointments are coordinated. So you may be able to complete your treatment in 1 to 3 days. But keep in mind that sometimes getting approval from your insurance company to cover the procedure can take several weeks.

Costs and insurance
Botox injections can cost several thousand dollars for each set of shots. Many insurance companies will cover the injections for certain medical conditions. Examples include chronic migraine and hyperhidrosis. Botox injections are not covered for cosmetic treatment of wrinkles.
Mayo Clinic works with hundreds of insurance companies and is an in-network provider for millions of people.
In most cases, Mayo Clinic doesn't require a physician referral. Some insurers require referrals or may have additional requirements for certain medical care. All appointments are prioritized on the basis of medical need.
