When to seek medical advice

Get emergency medical care if you have pelvic pain that is severe or accompanied by:

Fever
Nausea or vomiting
Inability to urinate
Blood in your semen
Blood in your urine
A lump or swelling in your groin or scrotum

See your doctor as soon as possible if you have moderate pain accompanied by the following:

Blood in your urine
A lump or swelling in your groin or scrotum
